Forms of Identification

Enrolling with Prósperos
Downloading the Application

Download the Prosperos Mobile Application
Start by downloading the Prósperos app on your mobile device by visiting the Prósperos iOS App Store or Google Play Store.

Sign Up
Begin by opening the Prósperos app and clicking on the Sign-Up button. The sign-up process is simple. -
Creating a Login
Enter your email address and create a secure password. Your password must meet the following criteria:- At least one uppercase and one lowercase letter.
- At least one numeric character.
- At least one special character.
- A minimum of 8 characters in length.
Here's an example password on the right for reference: Password1234@! -
Verifying Your Email Address
After creating your account, you’ll need to verify your email address. Check your inbox for an email with the subject line "Welcome to Prósperos, please verify your email address." Open the email and click on the Verify Email button. Once verified, return to the Prósperos app and click Check Email Status to continue. -
User Consent
On the User Consent screen, you’ll find information about the steps and details required by our banking partner to create your account. Click I Agree to proceed.
SMS Text Login

Setup SMS Login
You can choose to set up an SMS text login at this stage or opt to do it later. If you proceed, a unique one-time passcode will be sent to your mobile phone to verify your number. This passcode will be required each time you log in. To skip this for now, click Setup Later or Next. If needed, you can enable this feature later by visiting our Support Center article "How to Enable Login with SMS Text."

Identity Verification
Before accessing your account, Prósperos must verify your identity. Click on Begin Verification Process to start. We use Socure’s AI technology to verify your identity by analyzing your self-portrait (selfie) and document photos. By proceeding, you confirm that you’ve read and agree to Socure’s Terms of Use, Privacy Notice, and related agreements. Click Consent to continue. -
Government Issued ID
Select the government-issued ID you’d like to use for identity verification. You can choose from:
- U.S. Driver’s License
- Federal or State-Issued ID Card, e.g., Mexican Consular ID (Matrícula)
- Passport -
ID and Selfie Verification
You’ll be prompted to provide live photos of the front and back of your ID. A selfie will also be required to verify your identity. Ensure you are in a well-lit area for clear images. Note that the camera shutter button may take 10-15 seconds to appear; tapping the screen can help. It’s recommended to capture close-up shots of your ID to include all details, such as barcodes, signatures, and fine print. After completing each section, click Submit and Continue, to verify the image and proceed. -
Confirmation of Document Scan
If your scanned documents and selfie are successfully verified, a confirmation message will appear below your IDs. If verification fails, you’ll receive a red text prompt requesting additional documentation, and you’ll need to retake your photo ID picture.
To verify your physical address, you can provide one of the following:
- A bank statement dated within the last 60 days
- An employer pay stub, paycheck, or letter with your name and address
- Another U.S. federal or state-issued ID (with or without a photo)
- A utility bill with your name and address dated within the last 60 days
- A vehicle registration invoice with your name and address
Click Next to continue.
Account Owner Verification

Account Owner Verification (Part 1 of 3)
We’ll automatically fill in your personal information based on the data we collected to create your Account Owner profile. If your ID is in a different language, you may need to manually enter your information. Review and update your name, email, phone number, and date of birth if necessary, then click Save. To edit your information, click the pencil icon next to your name. When you’re ready, click Add Government ID to proceed. -
Account Owner Verification (Part 2 of 3)
Select the type of government ID you’ll use:
- Social Security Number
- National Identification
- Individual Taxpayer Identification Number
- Passport
- State Identification
Enter the ID number and click Save when finished. Then, click Next to continue. -
Account Owner Verification (Part 3 of 3)
Verify your physical address. Please note that PO Box or UPS Store addresses are not accepted; use your residential address instead. Once you’ve entered the correct information, click Save. You can use the pencil icon to edit the address if needed. When you’re ready, click Next to proceed.

Notifications
We recommend enabling all notifications to stay updated on your account. You can opt to receive SMS notifications at your provided number, and you can also enable WhatsApp notifications for important account updates. Click Next to continue. -
Terms and Conditions of Service
Please read through the Terms and Conditions of Service, scroll to the bottom, and click Accept to proceed to the next step. When you’re ready, click Next to continue. -
Verifying Final Details
Verify that your primary and address information is correct. Use the pencil icon to edit your information if necessary. If everything is accurate, click Submit to finalize the process.
